I took a different approach to my usual intial design brainstorming, where I looked at images of autonomous vehicles and created very quick doodles of features in them I felt I could include within my design. I then took these doodles, and thought about if I could create any more ideas by combining them. This got ideas going in head and I would use these as a place to reference back when creating my more detailed wireframes.
At this point, while I was considering the visual aspect of the design, I felt I still needed to think about how it would actually work and what steps the user would take are. I feel this will help me when it comes to my design as it will me design keeping the user in mind.
Initially I thought about creating three screens which would feature across different areas of the vehicle. However, when sketching I decided one big dashboard across the front of the car would be the best option for my concept. So at the initial point of my sketching I was thinking about the shapes and looks of the three screens, but later on I focused solely on the main dashboard screen. I looked at the placement of components, what I would need to include and how things would look.
At this point, I had alot of individual pieces which needed to be brought together. Once I did this I was able to create my final wireframe for my main car dashboard.
